Wondering if there's any interest in changing the level of scouting in this league? Right now the current level is Very High, which is the most accurate one can get without perfect accuracy. I'm floating the idea of making it simply High.
The effect of this change would naturally make scouting evaluations of players a little bit tougher. There are a lot of variables going into scouting, but I'd imagine current opinions of veteran players are pretty accurate, while team scouts and OSA have been pretty far off with younger players. This would make statistical evaluation a little bit more important in evaluating minor leaguers.

I think if we had more active minor league management by all GMs, I'd be okay with setting it to just high, but if there's a team with four pitchers that gets rocked 40-2 every other game, I don't think we should have to count on the stats generated by those gams to any extent.

Yeah I'm with Matt on this one. I'm an active GM and like I know that I don't always do my due diligence in the low minors...

Didn't scouting get changed a lot in OOTP21? I haven't bought it yet so I'm not familiar. But we should take into account whatever changes were made there if we're going to switch versions.
That said, I like uncertainty in scouting.

It did, Ben V. You have more control over which players to scout and which positions/levels to target. Also, I believe the developers tweaked it so there's not huge disagreement between OSA and team scouts. There's some variation, but with our accuracy set on the higher side, I'm guessing we won't see much difference between versions. In the other league I'm in, I feel like it downgraded my guys, but I also switched scouts as well as versions, so who knows.
