GMs are looking for a way to tweak stadium dimensions. I think we have two mechanisms: Using writing points or using the playoff + profit mechanism currently used to increase stadium size.

I guess Playoff appearances + profit is a measure of success, but just seems like the rich get richer. I prefer using writing points
There should probably be some limits on how much dimensions can be changed, unless we want the Polo Grounds, the Boston Braves field, and some of the other weird parks. But I think dimension changes in general should be pretty balanced. Sure a home team might benefit from bringing in the RF fence, but so will all the visiting teams.
