The league has voted to allow players with four years of service time to be eligible for extensions. The purpose of this vote is to see if any additional qualifiers need to be added, for example, arbitration years, to define the scope of the eligibility.

I voted yes because I think the free agent market will suffer a little bit as teams lock up younger players for longer deals. It'll probably normalize eventually, but it seems to me like the market could be pretty thin for a half-dozen years or so. Just a guess.

Yes doesn't mean it will only make super-2 eligible players eligible. You could extend someone with 4 years right after their 2nd arb hearing, instead of having to wait another full season as we do now.
