Writing Rewards

I think I've solidified what I'm doing for the writing rewards.

First of all, what to do with the rewards:


1 Point: You may give a nickname to any player in your organization, any free agent, any player on a non-human controlled foreign team, or with the permission of that team's GM, a player on another GM's team that does not have a nickname.

2 points: You may change the name of a Minor League stadium

5 Points: You may change a minor league logo not affiliated with the Canadian Rookie League. You may change the name of a Major League stadium

8 Points: You may change the logo of a Major League team.

10 Points: You may change a Minor League Team. Give them a new name, logo, everything except relocation.

20 Points: You may change a Major League Team's Logo.

40 Points: You may change a Major League Team. Give them a new name, logo, everything.


How do you accrue points?

Basic writing for the Game of the Week: If you answer more than 50% of Game of the Week questions you get a point.

General Writing, either for your team or the league. Writing should be somewhat substantial, but since we have so little, anything that has been written I will count (Cough, volunteering to write these Games of the Weeks)

Service to the League: If Eric stays on board, he gets a point for helping with the draft. Same with Ben. These are thankless tasks that deserve recognition.

League Activity: If you're frequently on the boards chattering about your team and the league.

Win the World Series: I know these aren't supposed to be performance related, but if you win the world series, you deserve a cherry on top of the sundae.

Like everything except changing a Major Leagueclub name. Guess I’m just a purist.

Definitely don't like being able to change MLB team names. Not at all !!

Agree on not changing the team name. Maybe allow changing the logo, but not the name itself

I get not relocating. Why are people against changing the names? Not that I plan to change my team name. Just curious why people are against it.

I think what I'll do is keep logo change at 20 points for Writing Rewards and 40 points to change the team. If you're dead set on changing a team's identity, you can do it, but it will take a decade of league time, and a lot of activity. If you've put that much effort in, you probably deserve it. I'll even allow relocation.

I agree if they have been with the league that long they should be allowed to relocate if they really want to.

What's the difference between these levels?

Also, did we ever come up with a system to modify ballpark dimensions?
