St. Louis Sends:
1B: Nick Pratto retained @ 5% for the 2026 season (MLB)
Texas sends: SP: Aaron Wallace (AAA) CL: Justin Harvey (AA) and 1rst,2nd,and 3rd round picks
Giving up a lot of talent but we feel like Pratto might be able to help us finally get that ring, lol.

St Louis confirms.
It’s difficult to ever feel like you’re getting enough value when trading a player like Pratto. 27 years old, one of the leagues best hitters and somewhat affordable for a player of his caliber. However it’s silly to waste away the next 2-3 years of his career in the midst of a total rebuild.
This trade gives us lots of opportunity to build the farm system up and build towards a return to relevance by the end of the decade. Wallace looks to be a safe bet as a #2 in the future, Harvey should have a future as my setup/closer, and then we have three draft picks that will be crucial to get right. In addition, the $20 million that this deal frees up allows me to really go all in on investing in the farm system so the current and future prospect develop as we need them to.
The fans won’t be happy now, and I’m sure there will be moments over the next couple years that I regret it, but I’ll take my chances.
