Cardinals agree.

We had already decided Bates wasn't going to be apart of the big league roster, so it was nice to get something in return rather than release him outright. Montgomery is a good reliever, but at 35 he isn't really apart of the rebuild. In return, we got two minor league guys that may contribute at the big league level someday.
