OOTP has changed its scouting in recent years, and I'm wondering if there's an interest in making scouting less accurate. Right now the currently level is "Very High," and I'm proposing changing it to "High."
The effect of this change would naturally make scouting evaluations of players a little bit tougher. There are a lot of variables going into scouting, but I'd imagine current opinions of veteran players are pretty accurate, while team scouts and OSA have been pretty far off with younger players. This would make statistical evaluation a little bit more important in evaluating minor leaguers.
