This is the big one. Vote to change on whether playoffs move to allow a sixth team or more, or to keep it at 5. This would be for the 2032 season as the decision to expand the format will need to result in a vote for what the format would specifically be, and perhaps need to account for expansion.
Most common expansion number would be 6 teams per league, resulting in 2 teams getting byes to an LDS, and 4 teams playing in a Wild Card Round. Possibilities also include 7 teams per league, with a 4-team tournament to decide the Wild Card Also, 7 teams per league with 6 teams playing in the Wild Card round and the top team advancing to the LDS Another option is 8 teams per league, NBA/NHL style. Finally, with expansion, all 32 teams qualify for OOPS all playoffs!
Main argument for playoff expansion is engagement with more teams eligible late in the year. Main argument against is avoiding the watering down of the playoffs and allowing mediocre clubs to advance and win pennants and championships.
I'm strongly in favor of the elegance of the current setup, the division races that get preserved, and the omittance of underwhelming teams that can get hot and win a championship. As such, this will need a supermajority vote of 2/3rds the league to overturn. Assuming 25% of the league never votes, we have a voting body of 24 so we'd need at least 16 votes to change, potentially more depending on turnout.

I'm voting yes, though I'm not sure 1 more playoff team is going to create a lot more engagement. Generally the winning teams are the engaged teams. But one more playoff team hopefully encourages more teams to try to win in the second half instead of selling off. That's a good thing.

I’m a no. Question is too broad. And all teams qualifying penalizes engagement.
