Hey everyone, I'm in favor of not beginning to process trades until after Arbitration. The concept of trading for a player who you may then non-tender is weird, and there may be timeframes where a trade is made and the team he's traded to may not have time to make an arbitration offer. Does anybody have an issue with this?

I do.
MLB allows trading after the World Series. I may want to trade for a player so I can sign them to an extension before arbitration. I may want to trade away a player owed a lot of money before arbitration so I can better manage my salary obligations. If I can’t do that, the. I may be forced to nontender someone I want to keep but can’t afford.
Basically, allowing me to trade before arbitration gives me more options about how to handle arbitration eligible players.

Basically everything that Ben_Marlins said. It's allowed IRL and it gives greater financial flexibility to clubs which is especially important for smaller markets. If you want to say that you don't want to process trades during the same sim that arbitration hearings take place, that is reasonably but I'm not in favor of blanket banning trades between the WS and arbitration.

These are good points. I'll probably just amend to the sim before arbitration then.
