These were excruciating talks (no thanks to Texas), and it's a huge haul for Toronto, who proves that I could have afforded Bumgarner. However, I'm a bigger fan of Stroman. He will anchor the rotation for years to come. Thanks Toronto for being solid and respectful negotiators. I wish you the best, and I think you did quite well.

Toronto confirms. Was indeed a painful deal as I love Stroman and he even grew up near my hometown. That said, the Blue Jays need to embark on a new direction and I am happy with the players I received in return. Should be able to form a nice backbone for when Vladdy Jr is ready.
